Our Vision

Cala’s vision for the site is to create an attractive residential environment to deliver 49 new homes with access from Fullers Road, that demonstrates how a sensitive design approach can create benefits for existing and new residents.

Our vision for the site also includes a generous area of public green space and play areas that would be linked by a green corridor to Alice Holt Forest.

Cala Homes is committed to delivering a high quality development that delivers much needed market and affordable homes in this sustainable location as identified in the emerging Local Plan. The new homes will range from 1 bedroom maisonettes to detached 5 bedroom houses. 40% of the new homes will be affordable, with a mixture of tenures.

  • 49 new homes ranging from 1 bedroom Maisonettes to 5 bedroom detached houses
  • All new homes will be no more than two storeys in height
  • 40% affordable homes (of mixed affordable tenure)
  • Off-street parking for all homes
  • A generous area of new public open spaces and play spaces
  • 49 cycle spaces
  • 10 visitor parking spaces
  • Existing vegetation retained and enhanced within the site
  • Creation of a wildlife buffer along the western and southern boundaries of the Site to maintain and enhance the existing hedgerows and mature trees
  • Sustainability credentials including all-electric, Part L 2021 and Air Source Heat Pumps and an electric vehicle charging for all properties
  • Delivery of 10% Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) on site
  • New tree planting and ecological enhancements including bat and bird boxes informed by site surveys and Cala's own Urban Wildlife Strategy
